Stage Not Age
We are a stage-based provision, not an age-based provision. This means pupils are encouraged to access the lessons that best match their current ability, confidence and learning needs.
Foundation generally supports Key Stage 2 learners, Intermediate supports Key Stage 3 learners, and Advanced supports Key Stage 4 or GCSE-level learners.
Scheme of Learning
Our schemes of learning are designed to provide structured, progressive learning while remaining flexible enough to meet the needs of our pupils.
Lessons build knowledge, confidence and skills over time. Teachers adapt learning based on pupil understanding, engagement and submitted work.
Assessment Methods
Assessment is mainly formative and happens naturally through live lessons, questioning, discussion, activities, Quizalize quizzes and submitted work.
Optional summative assessments may be offered on a case-by-case basis. Our focus is on confidence, engagement and ongoing progress rather than high-pressure testing.
GCSE Information
Advanced lessons support pupils working at Key Stage 4 and GCSE level. These sessions help pupils develop subject knowledge, confidence and exam-related skills.
Families remain responsible for arranging GCSE exam entries with an external exam centre where required.
Technology Requirements
To access our online provision, pupils will need:
- A stable internet connection
- A laptop, computer or tablet
- Access to sound and microphone where possible
- A camera where appropriate
- Access to our online learning platforms
- A quiet space to learn where possible
