Our Commitment to Safeguarding

As an online provision, safeguarding is embedded into all areas of our practice, including live online lessons, communication systems, online behaviour expectations, staff conduct, digital safety and child protection procedures.

How to Report a Concern

Any safeguarding concern relating to a child’s safety or wellbeing should be reported immediately.

Concerns may include:

  • Abuse or neglect
  • Bullying or cyberbullying
  • Online safety concerns
  • Mental health concerns
  • Radicalisation concerns
  • Unsafe behaviour
  • Concerns about an adult working with children

Concerns can be reported by:

  • Emailing the safeguarding team
  • Speaking to a member of staff
  • Contacting the DSL or DDSL directly
  • Reporting concerns during lessons where appropriate

All concerns are taken seriously and handled sensitively.

Emergency Guidance

If a child is at immediate risk of harm or in danger:

  • Call 999 immediately
  • Contact Children’s Social Care
  • Inform the safeguarding team as soon as possible

The school may share information with safeguarding agencies where necessary to protect a child.
